Born Néstor Bordiola on November 26, 1984, in Buenos Aires, Néstor en Bloque is an Argentine cumbia singer who began his career at 17 as a keyboardist for Grupo Red before rising to fame as the lead vocalist of La Base in the early 2000s. With hits like "Vienes y te vas," "Sabrosón," and "Muchacha sola," his success with La Base established him as a key figure in the cumbia villera genre. In 2005, Néstor en Bloque launched his solo career with the album Mi Único Amor, featuring the standout track "Una calle nos separa," followed by Rompiendo el Silencio (2006), Por Siempre Agradecido (2008), and 5ta edición combination (2011). Despite grappling with mental health struggles linked to his demanding schedule, Néstor en Bloque made a strong comeback with the 2021 EP N-blq 33, marking his return with seven new songs. In 2023, he collaborated with Rodrigo Tapari on the single "Los dos fallamos," followed by a duet with Karina on "Frágil" later that year. 2024 saw the release of the live LP Gran Rex In Concert and Mi Único Amor 2.0 (Néstor Version), which featured new versions of songs from his debut album.
