Lauana Prado, born on May 25, 1989 in Goiânia and raised in Araguaína, is a Brazilian sertanejo singer-songwriter who has become a leading voice in the feminejo movement. Her musical journey began in television talent shows like The Voice Brasil, where she reached the semifinals under the name Mayara Prado. After adopting her current stage name, she gained national recognition with the 2018 hit "Cobaia," featuring Maiara & Maraisa, included in her breakout EP Lauana Prado. In 2019, she released Verdade, her first live album, followed by the acclaimed Livre (2020), recorded at Hopi Hari, which featured collaborations with Matheus & Kauan and Bruno & Marrone. In 2022, she launched Natural, an album recorded in Jalapão that earned her a Latin Grammy nomination, and the reimagined sertanejo project Raiz, which continued with Raiz Goiânia in 2023. Her 2023 release, Ao Vivo em Brasília, further showcased her dynamic artistry, while 2024’s Transcende, recorded live at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera with guests like Zé Neto & Cristiano, cemented her as one of sertanejo’s most versatile talents.
