Laybacksound

Laybacksound (레이백사운드) is a South Korean R&B/Soul duo known for their smooth blend of urban music genres like Hip-hop, Jazz, and Urban Pop. The group debuted in 2012 under CANENT with the digital single "Tookago", which featured Remics. The duo consists of Cream, the producer, and Han Gyeol, the vocalist. Together, they craft emotionally resonant tracks characterized by melodic richness and lyrical depth. Laybacksound quickly gained recognition for their collaborations with prominent figures in the Korean hip-hop and R&B scene, including Huckleberry P, Loco, Boi.B of Rhythm Power, Andup, and Nucksal. Their 2016 EP Pink O’Clock marked a significant artistic evolution, showcasing their versatility by incorporating elements of Jazz and Hip-hop. The EP included standout tracks such as "Pink Rocket" and "Take a Walk," further cementing their reputation for creating sophisticated and heartfelt music. Over the years, Laybacksound released a variety of singles that highlight their growth and artistry, such as "Love Is You" featuring Loco (2013), "Blackbox" featuring Boi.B (2014), and "4hours" featuring Lee Bada (2017).
