Lazza

Italian rapper and pianist Jacopo Lazzarini (born on August 22, 1994), professionally known as Lazza, was born in Milan and studied piano and classical music at the Conservatory Giuseppe Verdi. In 2012, he dedicated himself to hip-hop and rap, promoting his songs on YouTube and releasing a free download of his track “Destiny” whilst also joining the groups Zero2 and Block Recordz. He collaborated with many other artists including rapper Emis Killa and came to more widespread attention in 2016 with the single “DDA” with 333 Mob. In 2017, Lazza released his debut studio album Zzala, which explored the trap genre. The album received gold status, alongside the singles “DDA,” “MOB,” and “Lario.” During that same year, Lazza performed on two tours and worked on several collaborations with other artists including Ernia, Nitro, and Salmo. Another gold rating followed in 2018 with the single “Porto Cervo.” 2019 saw the release of his second studio album Re Mida, which went straight to Number 1 on the Italian Album Charts. The album fine-tuned Lazza's individual style and featured collaborations with several artists including Tedua, Izi, Fabri Fibra, and Kaydy Cain. Preceded by the hit single “2 Tiri,” the mixtape J was released in 2020 to great critical and commercial acclaim, topping the FIMI charts and featuring guest appearances by Geolier, Gué Pequeno, and Tha Supreme. In early 2022, an unstoppable Lazza claimed the top spot on the Italian Albums chart once again with his third full-length Sirio, a star-studded affair that recruited both local and international hip-hop luminaries such as Tory Lanez, French Montana, Noyz Narcos, and Sfera Ebbasta. The latter appeared in the single "Piove," which hit Number 1 in Italy later that year.
