Shiva is the pseudonym used by Italian rapper Andrea Arrigoni. Born in Legnano in 1999, he started rapping at age 15 and made his official debut in 2015 with the self-produced track “Cotard Delusion.” That same year, Shiva signed with Rome-based indie label Honiro, which released his studio debut Tempo Anima in 2017. Featuring guest appearances by Cranio Randagio, Mostro, and Sercho, the album helped showcase Shiva’s talents and introduced him to a whole new audience. Preceded by the singles “Ragazzi Miei” and “Fuoco/Esse,” his sophomore effort Solo came out in 2018 and found the rapper moving towards a more modern, trap-oriented sound. Shiva spent most part of 2019 collaborating with the creme de la creme of Italian rap, including Emis Killa (“Mon Fre”), Pyrex (“Non Sto Più in Zona”), and Sfera Ebbasta (“Soldi in Nero”). In 2020, he scored his first Number 1 hit with the track “Calmo” featuring Tha Supreme, a song that was also included in his EP Routine, released later that year. Subsequently, Shiva returned in 2021 with “La Mia Storia,” “Fendi Belt,” and “Non Sai Niente,” the first three promotional singles from his third full-length, Dolce Vita. He followed this success with 2022's Milano Demons, his first-ever chart-topper in Italy, and 2023's Santana Season, which peaked at number 2 on the FIMI charts. In October 2023, he was arrested for attempted murder and illegal possession of weapons after two people got injured in the courtyard of his record label. Following his release in February 2024, Shiva quickly returned to producing new tracks including the #1 single “Syrup,” the first single from the album Milano Angels, also featuring the #3 single “Take 5” and collaborations with Lil Tjay, Paky, NLE Choppa, Tony Boy, Tedua, Kid Yugi, Mondo Marcio and Geolier.
