Anna Pepe (August 15, 2003), mononymously known as Anna, is one of the most popular female rappers in her native Italy. Born in the small town of La Spezia in Liguria, she was encouraged to play the piano from a very young age by her DJ father. Starting in 2018, she began posting a series of freestyles on social media and then went on to collaborate with fellow MC Anis on the tracks "24/7" and "Holidays." In 2019, Anna released her proper debut single "Bando," which had to be taken down from streaming platforms due to copyright issues. After signing with Virgin Records, the sample was finally cleared and the single was re-released in 2020. By late February, the song had reached Number 1 in Italy, making Anna the youngest artist to ever snatch the top spot of the singles chart in her native country. It also entered the charts in Germany after she released a remix featuring rapper Maxwell. Later that year, she released the single "Bla Bla" with Gue Pequeno and "Fast," produced by Young Miles. Follow-up singles "Squeeze 1," "Drippin' in Milano," and "Balaklub - What Up" all saw the light during 2021 and enjoyed great popularity within the Italian hip-hop scene. In 2022, Anna collaborated with Lazza on the single "3 di Cuori," reaching Number 28 on FIMI's Singles Chart.
