Lee Hyun, born November 8, 1983, is a South Korean singer who debuted in 2007 as a member of the co-ed vocal group 8Eight under Big Hit Entertainment. Known for their powerful vocals, 8Eight released three studio albums and two extended plays, becoming one of Korea's top vocal groups before disbanding in 2014. In 2021, the group reunited to release a commemorative single, "Without a Heart." In 2009, Lee began his solo career with the hit single "30 Minutes Ago," composed by Bang Si-hyuk, and followed it up with his debut solo album, The Healing Echo (2012). His soulful ballads have earned him recognition, and he has contributed to numerous TV soundtracks, including A Gentleman's Dignity and Dr. Romantic. From 2010 to 2018, Lee also performed as part of the vocal duo Homme alongside 2AM's Changmin. In 2023, Lee introduced his alter ego Midnatt with the single "Masquerade," blending synthwave music with cutting-edge AI technology. Through this innovative project, he released multilingual versions of the song, pioneering new music technologies with Hybe Corp.
