Also known as "Minhyuk" and "Huta," Lee Min-hyuk is a rapper, actor, and K-pop vocalist who debuted with the boy band BtoB before releasing his debut solo album, Hutazone, in January 2019. He was born in Seoul, South Korea, on November 29, 1990, and released his own music as an independent artist before joining BtoB in 2012. The group was an immediate success, reaching Number 1 with their 2012 debut, Complete, and eventually earning nine Top 10 singles on the Gaon Digital Chart. Meanwhile, Min-hyuk began making TV appearances as an actor, starring in 2013's Monstar, 2014's A New Leaf, and 2015's Sweet, Savage Family. He also appeared on many of those shows' accompanying soundtracks, even earning a Top 40 hit with Monstar's "After Time Passes." 2017's Halfway marked his first acting role in a film, and he released the self-produced "Purple Rain" — the first single from his debut album — that same year. Following the release of an EP, Summer Diary, in 2018, he returned in 2019 with his first full-length album, Hutazone, which reached Number 3 in South Korea. Three years later, he released a second solo album, Boom, which rose to Number 4 on the Gaon Weekly Album Chart.
