Lee Ranaldo is best known as the guitarist of avant-garde alternative rock band Sonic Youth. However, the musician and producer has had a prolific parallel career since the 80s, releasing several solo albums or in collaboration with various artists, such as 2005's Oasis Of Whispers and 2012's Between the Times and the Tides . Under the name Lee Ranaldo and the Dust, he released Last Night on Earth in 2013 and Acoustic Dust in 2014. The following year, he exhumed the album Ambient Loop for Vancouver , conceived with Alan Licht, Christian Marclay and William Hooker to mark the tenth anniversary of its release, and gave it a full release, since at the time it had been part of a package that included his first book, Road Movies.
