Lenny Tavárez, born Julio Manuel González Tavárez on May 19, 1987, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, is a reggaeton and Latin trap artist, best known for being part of the duo Dyland & Lenny. The duo, formed in 2007 with Carlos Castillo Cruz (Dyland), gained international recognition with their debut album My World (2010), which included hits like "Quiere Pa' Que Te Quieran," "Caliente," and "Nadie Te Amará Como Yo." They were nominated for awards at Premios Lo Nuestro and Billboard Latin Music Awards. After their second album, My World 2 (2013), which featured collaborations with artists such as Pitbull and Cosculluela, the duo disbanded. Lenny Tavárez then launched a solo career, initially releasing reggaeton tracks like "Más No Puedo Amarte," before expanding into Latin trap. His solo hits, including "Fantasías" and "Nena Maldición" featuring Paulo Londra, helped establish him as a prominent figure in the urban music scene. In 2019, he was part of the collaborative album The Academy with artists like Sech and J Quiles. 2021 saw the release of his solo debut album KRACK, followed by an appearance in The Academy's second full-length album The Academy: Segunda Misión in 2024. Later that year, he dropped his second LP Brillar, whose bachata-flavored lead single "Tu Feo" with Prince Royce peaked at number 15 on the US Tropical Airplay chart.
