Les Frères Ennemis were a French comedy duo comprised of Teddy Vrignault and André Gaillard. Formed in Paris in 1953, the pair began writing and performing comedy sketches in the city's theatres and cabaret bars and became known for their witty wordplay. They appeared in several films together including 'The Suburbs Are Everywhere' (1973), 'I Don't Know Much, But I'll Say Everything' (1973) and 'The Four Charlots Musketeers' (1974) and the TV series 'Calembredaines', while continuing to perform on stage. The duo continued performing together until Vrignault's unexplained disappearance on 1st November 1984. Despite extensive attempts to solve the mystery of his disappearance, Vrignault was officially declared dead exactly 20 years later. Gaillard passed away on 30th September 2009 at the age of 91.
