Les Tireux d'Roches

Les Tireux d'Roches are a Quebec folk band formed in 1998 in St-Élie-de-Caxton (Canada), originally comprising Anne Tessier, Denis Massé, Dominic Lemieux, Fred Pellerin and Jeannot Bournival. Their first album, La Boîte de Silence, was released in 1999. In 2000, following the departure of Annie and Fred, the three-piece reunited to create their second opus, J'Joue Mon Air..., released in 2002. The band underwent a major overhaul in 2005, with the departure of Jeannot and the arrival of four new musicians: Francis Roberge (to be replaced in 2010 by David Robert), Luc Murphy, Mario Giroux and Pascal Veillette. Les Tireux d'Roches released the albums Roches... Papier, Ciseaux in 2006, then Cé Qu'Essé? in 2010. Their fifth opus, XO 15 Ans d'Âge , released in November 2013, brought them their first commercial radio airplay in Quebec, with the song " Tirelire ". The band headlines the Loto-Québec stage at the Francofolies de Montréal in July 2015. In July 2016, the band performs at the Francofolies de Spa in Belgium, then the following month at Musica nei Castelli di Liguiria in Italy. They repeat in November 2017, with the album Tarmacadam and the song " Wôlà ", which reaches the radio charts in Quebec during the holiday season of the same year. The band returns in 2021, with an instrumental opus entitled Tapiskwan Sipi.
