Yves Lambert

Yves Lambert is a singer and musician of traditional Quebec music, born in 1956 in Joliette, Quebec, Canada. Yves Lambert was a member of the popular Quebec group La Bottine Souriante from 1976 to 2003. He took part in 11 albums and international tours with the group. He pursued a solo career alongside the group for several years. In 1998, he released the album Les Vacances de Monsieur Lambert. In 2004, he released Récidive , nominated for a Juno in the Traditional Album of the Year category. 2007 saw the release of Le monde à Lambert . Followed by Bal à l' huile with Bébert Orchestra in 2009. Over the years, Yves Lambert has taken part in various collective projects. He toured for three years with Les Charbonniers de l'enfer from 1992 to 1995. In 2010, he was one of the Douze hommes rapaillés in a tribute to Quebec poet Gaston Miron. In 2012, he released the album Yves Lambert Trio , which won the Félix for traditional album of the year at the ADISQ Gala. In 2015, with Socalled the Quebec disk jockey and MC, he released the album Lambert dans ses Bottines. In 2016, the album Laissez courir les chiens is released. In 2016, Tentation is nominated for traditional album of the year at the Gala de l'ADISQ. In 2021, he releases the EP Lâche Moi L'Tordeur , the perfect accompaniment to the holiday season. Yves Lambert often incorporates elements of jazz, rock and world music. This fusion of styles allows Yves Lambert to create unique music that celebrates and modernizes Quebec's musical traditions.
