Liane Foly (born Eliane Falliex, in Lyon, in 1962) was one of the great revelations of the late 1980s. A star of the following decade, notably with the success of the album Rêve Orange (1990) and the hit "Au fur et à mesure", she went on to enjoy mixed fortunes, before unexpectedly re-launching her career with her imitation shows. The albums Entre Nous ... (2000), La Chanteuse de Bal (2004) and Le Goût du Désir (2008) all share a graceful, light-hearted interpretation of jazz and chanson. In addition to the comedy shows La folle parenthèse (2007) and La Folle part en cure (2011), Liane Foly has diversified into film, theater and television ( Génération 80). She returned to music in 2016 with a big band version of the cover album Crooneuse.
