Lim Young-min

Lim Young Min, known simply as Youngmin, is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, and former member of the boy group AB6IX under Brand New Music. Born on December 25, 1995, in Busan, South Korea, Youngmin rose to prominence through his participation in Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017. Although he ranked 15th and did not debut with the winning group, Wanna One, he went on to debut in the duo MXM with Kim Dong Hyun under Brand New Music, releasing the mini-album Unmix later that year. In 2018, Youngmin joined the collaborative project group YDPP, expanding his reach within the K-pop industry. In 2019, he debuted with AB6IX, Brand New Music’s new boy group, gaining popularity with their debut EP B:Complete. However, in 2020, he encountered controversy following a DUI incident, leading to his departure from AB6IX and a hiatus from the industry. After serving in the military from late 2020 to May 2022, Youngmin returned to music, making his solo debut with the EP Room in August 2023. Building on his comeback, he released a second EP, Love?, in June 2024, marking a new chapter in his career.
