Sydney brothers Oli and Louis Leimbach are the driving force behind Lime Cordiale; an indie pop-rock duo with a spring in its step. First conceived in 2009, Lime Cordiale emerged playing shows around Sydney's Northern Beaches and released three digital singles in 2011, with two EPs following in 2012 – the debut Faceless Cat EP in 2012, which included the single "Pretty Girl", and Falling Up the Stairs, which contained "Bullshit Aside" and "Sleeping At Your Door". A handful of other singles and a third EP followed, but it was the release of its debut album in 2017 that saw the band's popularity grow. Produced by Dave Hammer (Thundamentals, Nicole Millar, Washington), Permanent Vacation encapsulated Lime Cordiale’s poppy, retro surf-rock sound, and peaked at number 79 on the ARIA charts. In July 2020, the band released its second album 14 Steps to a Better You, which topped the ARIA Charts and picked up the title of Australian Album of the Year at the J Awards in 2020. It also secured the brothers an impressive six nominations at the ARIA Music Awards that year, scooping the prize for Breakthrough Artist - Release. The album (14 Steps to a Better You (Relapse)), was re-issued in November 2020 with an additional six tracks.
