LinQ is a prominent female idol group based in Fukuoka, Japan, affiliated with the IQ Project. Known for their status among the "Four Heavenly Kings of Local Idols" and their induction into the "Local Idol Hall of Fame," LinQ was established in early 2011. The group was founded with the support of music industry professionals and spearheaded by the future first leader, Asami Uehara. LinQ debuted on April 17, 2011, with 33 members selected from over a thousand auditionees, showcasing their talent at Imz Hall. They have since expanded their activities beyond Fukuoka, performing across Japan and internationally. Despite undergoing organizational changes and downsizing in the summer of 2017, LinQ remains the core unit within the broader IQ Project, which now includes multiple groups. Their notable releases are "Furusato Japon"(2016), "Makenaizo"(2017) and "Treasure"(2017).
