Born in Järfälla in the suburbs of Stockholm, Lisa Ajax began singing from an early age. She started competing in local talent shows at the age of eight and performing in shows in Europe and the US by the time she was 12. Loreen's 'Euphoria' was a particular favourite for her to perform and Katy Perry and Beyoncé were also big influences. She was still a fairly unknown 16-year-old when she entered TV4 talent show 'Idol' and began impressing with her versions of Sia's 'Chandelier' and Patti LaBelle's 'Lady Marmalade'. She went on to beat Mollie Linden in the final, and her winning song 'Unbelievable' was a regal, orchestral pop ballad that became the title track of an EP that reached number two in the Swedish charts. Her performances at the 'Melodifestivalen' competition - which decides who will be Sweden's entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest - were also hugely impressive in 2016 and 2017. She scored national hits with 'My Heart Wants Me Dead' and 'I Don't Give A' and also worked with Norwegian singer songwriter Atle on the single 'Number One'. There was also the clubby, Euro pop floorfiller 'Off My Mind' made with British house DJ Tom Ferry, and Lisa collaborated with producers Davai and shared vocals with singer Call Me Loop on the chilly, R&B banger 'Cry Like Kim K', before returning to 'Melodifestivalen' with her top ten hit 'Torn' in 2019.
