Loreen, born Lorine Zineb Nora Talhaoui, is a Swedish singer, songwriter, and producer. Born on October 16, 1983, in Stockholm, Sweden, she grew up in a multicultural family, showing a passion for music at a young age. In 2004, Loreen finished in 4th place in the Swedish talent show Idol 2004 which catapulted her into the national spotlight. She later represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with her hit single "Euphoria," which went on to win the competition with a record-breaking score of 372 points. The song became an international success, reaching the top of the charts in several European countries and earning Loreen a huge worldwide following. Loreen's unique blend of pop, electronic, and world music has earned her critical acclaim both in Sweden and internationally. Her debut album, Heal was released in 2012 and included hit singles such as "My Heart Is Refusing Me" and "Crying Out Your Name" earning her the Best Swedish Act at the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards. Loreen continued to tour extensively, releasing her first Swedish-language single “Under ytan” in December 2015, which was critically acclaimed but attracted limited commercial success. Loreen released her second album, Ride, in 2017 which showcased a more experimental and edgier side of her music and included the hit singles “71 Charger” and “Hate the Way I Love You.” After performing at numerous Eurovision events including a cameo in popular 2020 film Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, In 2022, Loreen entered Swedish music competition Melodifestivalen with her new track “Tattoo”, emerging as the winner and securing her position at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, United Kingdom, propelling her once again to the top of the Swedish charts, debuting at number 1. "Tattoo" would also earn Loreen her second Eurovision victory, winning both the jury and the televote with 583 points.
