LoVendoЯ was a Japanese all-female band formed in November 2012, featuring former Morning Musume member Reina Tanaka (vocals) alongside Mari Okada (vocals), Yuki Uozumi (guitar), and Marin Miyazawa (guitar). Created through a public audition titled “I Want to Start a Band with Reina Tanaka,” the group launched as a twin-vocal, twin-guitar unit, supported by backing bass and drums. Initially active in the indie scene, LoVendoЯ focused on rock arrangements of folk songs before transitioning to original compositions. Their major debut came on July 1, 2015, with the double A-side single "Iinjyanai?/Futsuu no Watashi Ganbare!", showcasing a brighter pop-rock sound. The release earned them a Newcomer Award at the 48th Japan Cable Awards later that year. After guitarist Uozumi’s departure in 2016, the band continued as a trio, with Tanaka and Okada on vocals and Miyazawa on guitar. From 2017, individual and duo activities—like Tanaka’s solo performances and the Okada–Miyazawa unit “Okamarin”—increased as full-band performances slowed. Okada and Miyazawa officially left in 2019, leading to the group’s formal hiatus. Over their career, LoVendoЯ released two singles, three original mini-albums, one cover mini-album, and performed over 100 solo shows and eight national tours.
