The story of Luluc goes back to 1999, when Australian-born Zoë Randell and Steve Hassett met at the Edinburgh Festival. Back in their homeland, the duo took their time working on songs for their first self-produced album, Dear Hamlyn, released confidentially in 2008. Alerted by the praise of influential producer Joe Boyd and the specialist press, the Sub Pop label signed the New York-based folk duo. The 2014 album Passerby , produced by Aaron Dessner (The National), launched Luluc's international career.
