Luna Parker

Born in Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands (Spain), Rachel Ortas met Eric Tabuchi in Paris in the early 1980s. He was the bassist and keyboard player in the new wave group Tokow Boys, of which she became the lead singer. The adventure came to an end in 1983, but the two artists had no intention of stopping there, and moved on to French pop with the creation of Luna Parker. Her first single, "Tes états d'âme...Eric", was inspired by the puns in the song "Ohio", written by Serge Gainsbourg for Isabelle Adjani in 1983. Released in 1986, it reached number ten in the Top 50. It was the only hit for this one-hit band, despite three other singles and the album Félin Pour l'Autre (1988). Rachel Ortas sang it again in front of an audience on the RFM Party 80 tour in 2009.
