Man Ray is an Argentine pop duo formed in 1987 by Hilda Lizarazu and Tito Losavio, blending pop, rock, and new wave influences. Initially a side project while Lizarazu played with Charly García and Losavio with Los Twist, the band gained recognition with their second album, Perro de Playa (1991), which produced hits like "Caribe Sur," "Sola en los bares," and "Olvídate de mí." Their follow-up, Hombre Rayo (1993), included the hit "Todo cambia," which became widely popular after being featured in the TV series Montaña Rusa. Throughout the 1990s, Man Ray expanded their sound with albums like Piropo (1995) and Ultramar (1997), incorporating elements of reggae, candombe, and electronic music while collaborating with artists like Charly García, Jaime Roos, and Willy Crook. After a hiatus in the 2000s, the duo reunited in 2013 for the album Purpurina and a subsequent tour.
