Full name Manuel Turizo Zapata, Manuel Turizo is a singer and composer born into a family of musicians on April 12, 2000 in Montería, Colombia. Influenced by pop, trap and vallenato, he began to take an interest in song as a teenager, then quickly gained international fame in the world of urban Latin music thanks to the success of the single "Una Lady Como Tú" (No. 3 in Colombia, No. 2 in Mexico and Spain). In 2017, he assisted Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Valentino on "Bésame" (No. 6), and in the same year enjoyed great success with "Déjate LLevar" (No. 8 in Spain) with Juan Magán and Belinda, and "Esperándote" (No. 7 in Colombia). In 2018, he scored his first No. 1 hit (in Spain) and his first U.S. Billboard Hot 100 hit (No. 94) for his collaborative single with Ozuna, "Vaina Loca". 2019 sees the release of her debut album ADN, which hits #4 in Mexico and #75 in Spain, thanks in part to numerous collaborations with Zion & Lennox, Norie Ozuna, Darell, Nicky Jam, Sech and Anuel AA. On his second album, Dopamina in 2021 (No. 8 in Spain), he reinforced his status with the hits "Quiéreme Mientras Se Pueda" (No. 3 in Colombia, No. 1 in Mexico), "La Nota" (No. 1) in a duet with Rauw Alejandro and Myke Towers, "Mala Costumbre " (No. 3) with Wisin & Yandel and "Amor en Coma " (No. 1 in Mexico) with Maluma. His biggest hit, however, was "La Bachata " (no. 2 in Colombia, but also no. 1 in Argentina, Mexico and Spain), taken from his third album, 2000 (no. 15 in Spain), released in 2023. The following year, Manuel Turizo began announcing his next album through the singles "Bahamas" with Saiko, "Dios Te Cuide", "Enhorabuena" and "Qué Pecao" with Kapo. 201, his fourth studio album, was released in 2024 and showcased his versatility, offering a varied selection of bachata, vallenato, merengue and regional Mexican music.
