Marianne Rosenberg

The German pop and pop singer Marianne Rosenberg was born on March 10, 1955 in Berlin-Lankwitz. At the age of fourteen, she won a talent contest and recorded her first song "Mr. Paul McCartney", which reached number 33 in the German charts in 1970. Over the course of the 1970s, Marianne Rosenberg celebrated further chart successes with songs such as " Fremder Mann" (1971), "Jeder Weg hat mal ein Ende" (1972), "Er gehört zu mir" ( 1975) and "Marleen" (1976), reaching the peak of her career. Numerous radio and television appearances followed, making her one of the most successful pop stars of the decade. In the 1980s, she broke away from the pop scene and worked mainly on records with representatives of Neue Deutsche Welle. She released the song "Duo Infernal" with the band Extrabreit. in 1988, a remix of her big hit "Er gehört zu mir" was released, which once again drew attention to the singer thanks to high airplay. In 1989, she sings the song "I Need Your Love Tonight" for a television series. The song, produced by Dieter Bohlen, reached number 56 in the German singles charts. After a series of albums released during the 1990s, her compilation Für immer wie heute reached number 12 in the German album charts in 2004. in 2008, Marianne Rosenberg released a chanson and jazz album called I'm a Woman, followed by Regenrhythmus at the end of 2011. To mark her 50th stage anniversary, she released Im Namen der Liebe (In the Name of Love ) in 2020, landing at the top of the charts in Germany for the first time. Two years later, Marianne Rosenberg returns with the album Diva. The album climbs to number 5 in the German charts. The singer announces her 22nd studio album in spring 2024 with the single "Liebe spüren". The album Bunter Planet follows in June of the same year.
