A composer and singer trained at the contemporary school, Marjolaine Reymond took part in creations and productions of works by Kagel, Berio, Stockhausen and Messiaen in the 1990s. After a residency at the GRM (Groupe de recherche musicales) at Radio-France, she went into self-production, producing the albums Eternal Sequence (2005) and Chronos in USA (2008). Her contemporary influences, combined with her use of electronic instruments and her taste for jazz, are at the heart of her third album, To Be An Aphrodite or Not to Be, an oratorio inspired by the poems of Emily Dickinson, released in 2013 to great critical acclaim.
