Marracash

Italian rapper Marracash, real name Fabio Bartolo Rizzo (born in Nicosia, Sicily, on May 22, 1979) grew up in Milan and then Barona, where he graduated as an electrician. He began rapping under the name of Yuza delle Nuvole, and opted for the pseudonym Marracash when he made his first mixtape, PMC vs Club Dogo The Official Mixtape with Club Dogo and the Porzione Massiccia Crew in 2004. A member of the Dogo Gang, he took part in the Roccia Music Vol. 1 mixtape (2005), then signed as a solo artist with Universal, who released his homonymous debut album in 2008. Two years later, Fino a Qui Tutto Bene was released, featuring collaborations with Giusy Ferreri, Fabri Fibra and The Bloody Beetroots. His third album, King del Rap (2011), features contributions from close friends Fabri Fibra, Gué Pequeno (whom he met in Club Dogo), Jake La Furia and J-Ax. In 2015 followed the album Status, ranked #2 in Italy, featuring a duet with Marco Mengoni. The following year saw the release of Santeria (No. 1), recorded as a duet with Gué Pequeno, as did the live album Santeria Live, its successor in 2017. His sixth studio album, Persona, released on October 31, 2019, returns to the top spot, featuring collaborations with Gué Pequeno, Coez, Luchè, Mahmood, Tha Supreme, Sfera Ebbasta and Cosmo. The following year, he collaborated with singer Elisa on the track "Neon - Le Ali", which reached number five in the Italian charts. In 2021, his seventh album, Noi. Loro. Gli Altri., also topped the charts, and featured a new collaboration with Gué Pequeno on the No. 1 single "∞ Love". Its reissue at the end of the year takes the album from fourteen to thirty tracks. After a collaboration with Merk & Kremont in 2023, it wasn't until the end of 2024 that Marracash returned alone on the album È finita la pace, produced by Fritz da Cat and featuring #2 "Power slap" among its thirteen chart-topping tracks.
