Known for his socially conscious lyrics and old-school production values, rapper and producer Emanuele Frasca (December 15, 1979), aka Noyz Narcos, is one of the pioneers of the hip-hop genre in his native Italy. During his teenage years, his initial infatuation with graffiti and sportswear soon evolved into a passion for rap music. After playing in a grindcore band, he began rapping at age 19 and joined several crews before settling down with the Truceklan collective in the early aughts. Non Dormire, his studio debut, appeared in 2005 and was followed by 2007’s Verano Zombie, which featured cameos by Duke Montana, Gué Pequeno, and Marracash. Over the course of the next few years, Noyz Narcos continued to contribute to other projects related to Truceklan and continued his solo career with titles like Guilty (2010), Monster (2013), and the Fritz da Cat collaborative album Localz Only (2015). Following the release of the standalone “Training Day” (2016) and the Jamil diss track “Lobo” (2017), Noyz Narcos returned in full force with 2018’s Enemy, his first album to reach the top of the charts in Italy. Four years later, he would repeat the feat once more with Virus (2022), a star-studded affair that quickly achieved pole position on the Italian Albums Chart and was certified gold in its first week. All of the album’s tracks debuted within the domestic Top 50, including the Top 5 single “Cry Later” with Sfera Ebbasta & Luchè.
