With his partner Raaban, Norweigan DJ Martin Tungevaag was one of the breakthrough stars of the Scandinavian EDM scene in 2015 and scored a major crossover hit with his sun-kissed, tropical house tune 'Samsara'. Born in the North Western peninsula town of Stadlandet, he discovered electro favourites such as Remady and Klass in his youth and began producing tracks on his laptop when he was 17 with the beat-making programme FL Studio. As his music started to gain a fanbase, he based himself in Alesund and with the help of co-producer Olly Hence, his single 'Wicked Wonderland' took off in local clubs in 2014 and gradually surged to the top of the Austrian Singles Chart. His summery, soulful, infectious melodies were also the backbone of follow-up 'Vidorra', but it was a random connection through Facebook that first helped form his partnership with Swedish DJ/producer Robbin 'Raaban' Soderlund. The pair casually worked on songs together for over five years in their spare time, before they posted 'Samsara' online without a label or any kind of business plan. Named as a reference to the Buddhist ideas of reincarnation, the track featured singer Emilia and an infectious, head bopping, funky groove, and went on to notch up over 120 million streams on Spotify and receive a nomination for a Norwegian Grammy Award. As a duo they toured the world's leading EDM festivals and created more dance floor Euro-pop hits such as 'Beast' featuring Isaac Elliot and 'Wake Up Alone' with Clara Mae, before remixing 'It's Gotta Be You' by Australian X-Factor winner Isaiah Firebrace. Becoming fixtures of Europe's club scene, Tungevaag & Raaban returned again in 2018 with new dance hall influenced single 'Bad Boy' featuring Gambian vocalist Luana Kiara.
