Founded in Milan in 2018, Simone Giani, Mattia Mavi, and Luca di Gregorio form the house and EDM trio Meduza. With their debut single "Piece Of Your Heart" (feat. Goodboys), they not only achieved Top 10 rankings in several European countries in 2019 but also successfully positioned themselves in the US dance charts, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Production. The band, whose sound regularly features individual pop elements, also followed up in 2019 with "Lose Control" (feat. Becky Hill & Goodboys). Notorious for repeatedly collaborating with acts from other genres, 2020 saw the release of "Paradise" alongside Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy. After the track achieved platinum status in Australia, Canada, Portugal, Poland, Austria, the UK, and Italy, other artists came knocking to collaborate with the Italo DJs, resulting in a joint dance feature with folk and indie rocker Hozier on "Tell It to My Heart" in 2021. Meduza also made a name for themselves with remixes for other artists, including Dermot Kennedy and John Legend. In 2021, they delivered a remix of "Bad Habits" for Ed Sheeran. A year later, Meduza scored another international single hit with "Bad Memories" together with James Carter, Elley Duhé, and Fast Boy. In 2024, the band attracted international attention together with Leony and OneRepublic. In May 2024, Meduza released "Fire," the official song for UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany. The single entered the charts in Germany at number 78 and also reached number 69 in Switzerland.
