Megan Moroney

Megan Moroney (born on December 16, 1996, in Georgia, U.S.A) is an American country singer and songwriter. Growing up in a musical home, she participated in talent shows and musicals during high school, posting covers of songs on social media in her spare time. While studying music business at the University of Georgia, she was asked to perform at a sorority concert where she was discovered by prominent country music singer Chase Rice. After opening his show the following month, Moroney realised that performing was her passion, and upon graduation, released debut EP Pistol Made of Roses in July 2022, followed by breakthrough single “Tennessee Orange” on September 2, 2022, which debuted in the Billboard Hot 100, reaching number 25 on the Hot Country Songs chart. Transferring to Columbia Records Nashville, Moroney released her debut album Lucky in May 2023, featuring the singles "Tennessee Orange" and "I'm Not Pretty" which climbed to number 4 and 14 respectively on the US Country Airplay charts, with the album itself reaching the top 40 of the Billboard 200 and named as the Best Country and American album of 2023 by Rolling Stone Magazine. Riding high on this success, Moroney unveiled sophomore album Am I Okay? on July 12, 2024, preceded by the single "Man on the Moon." The album went to number 3 on the US Country charts, also hitting the top 10 in the Billboard 200 and the top 40 in Canada.
