Swiss DJ and music producer Mike Candys was born Michael Kull in Zurich in 1981. He rose to prominence in his native country in 2008 with the release of the single 'Serenissima' which became a hit and established him as a new talent on Europe's club scene. The success of 'Serenissima' led to a string of collaborations with fellow Swiss DJ Jack Holiday which started with the release of 'Insomnia' in 2009. The track was originally written in 1995 by the British band Faithless and the makeover by Kull and Holiday gave it a new lease of life making it a top ten single in various European charts earning it a platinum certification. In 2010 Kull was looking for a voice to feature on his latest track 'Together Again' and met up with Swiss talent show contestant Evelyn Zangger who agreed to work with him. 'Together Again' achieved moderate commercial success and this led to the release of 'One Night in Ibiza' which was certified gold in Switzerland, Austria and Germany and sold well throughout Europe. Kull's success, in particular with his collaborations with Jack Holiday, has made him one of the most popular and influential figures in the European electro scene.
