MIRAE is a South Korean boy band created by DSP Media in 2021. Its lineup consists of seven members: Lien, Lee Jun-hyuk, Yoo Dou-hyun, Khael, Park Si-young, Jang Yu-bin, and Son Dong-pyo, who had previously performed with the now-defunct boy group X1. After introducing its members one by one throughout the first week of February, MIRAE made its official debut on March 17 with its first EP Killa, selling more than 26,000 copies within the first week of its release and reaching number 9 on the Gaon Music Chart. The band followed this success with their first live performance on Mnet’s M Countdown, which gained over 10 million views. In August of that year, their second EP Splash exceeded all expectations by peaking at number 5 in South Korea and establishing them as major players in the K-pop industry. Subsequent releases such as the 2022 extended plays Marvelous and Ourturn continued this trend, with both cracking the Top 10 of the Korean charts while also charting in Japan. In 2023, MIRAE issued their fifth EP, Boys Will Be Boys, hitting number 12 on the Circle Albums Chart. Running Up, the group's first Japanese mini-album, went to number 27 on the Japanese Top 100 in 2024.
