MIRROR are one of Cantopop's biggest and best-loved boy bands, labelled "the new kings of Cantopop" and celebrated for bringing the decades-old genre into the 21st century with their fresh sound. Formed on ViuTV's reality talent show Good Night Show - King Maker and comprising twelve members – Frankie Chan, Alton Wong, Lokman Yeung, Stanley Yau, Anson Kong, Jer Lau, Ian Chan, Anson Lo, Jeremy Lee, Edan Lui, Keung To, and Tiger Yau – the group marked their arrival on the scene in November 2018 with a debut single, "In a Second" (一秒間). A string of singles followed in its wake, from 2019's "ASAP" and "Broken Mirror" (破鏡) to 2020's "Ignited," which was recognised at two Hong Kong music awards ceremonies that year: the Ultimate Song Chart Awards and the inaugural Chill Club Awards. MIRROR's debut album, One and All, arrived in January 2021, made up of six group singles and fifteen solo songs released by the members in 2020. Despite scooping several more accolades in 2022 – the My Favourite Group and the Ultimate Group Silver Prize at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation 2021 – the year was marked by a disastrous event when a large overhead video screen fell onto dancer Mo Li Kai-yin during the fourth of the group's Hong Kong Coliseum shows in July, leaving him in a serious condition.
