The British-Nigerian singer-songwriter and producer Uzoechi Osisioma Emenike, better known as MNEK, was born on November 9, 1994 in South London, England. His debut single "If Truth Be Told" was released in 2010 on the indie label Moshi Moshi. However, he first became known for his collaborations with various pop, dance and R&B music greats. He co-wrote hits for the Saturdays and Duke Dumont. His own soulful, strong voice can be heard for the first time on "Ready For Your Love" (2014) by Gorgon City, with which he entered the top 5 of the UK charts. He also collaborates with Kylie Minogue, Beyoncé, Madonna as well as Rudimental, Becky Hill, Shift K3Y and Little Mix, and "Never Forget You" (2015) with Zara Larsson becomes a worldwide hit. MNEK's debut EP Small Talk sees the light of day in the same year. in 2017, he can be heard on Stormzy'sBlinded By Your Grace, Pt. 2(2017), which is set to be another chart-topper. His debut album Language is released in 2018. 2020 sees the release of the track 'Head & Heart', followed by 'Who You Are' (2021).
