Mom Jeans

Formed in 2014 by students at the University of California, Berkeley, emo rock band Mom Jeans (stylized Mom Jeans.) originally consisted of singer/guitarist Eric Butler and drummer Austin Carango, before the inclusion of other musicians. An initial demo, Spring Demo, was released by the confidential Fourth Row Records label, before the arrival of bassist/vocalist Josh Perline, featured on the Allergic EP and replaced by Gabriel Paganin on debut album Best Buds (2016), released in vinyl format under Counter Intuitive Records. Two collaborative EPs follow before the release of Puppy Love (2018), which brings the band wider recognition extending to Europe via UK label Big Scary Monsters. This leads to a European tour in 2021, followed by the album Sweet Tooth (2022), then Bear Market (2023), featuring new versions of old tracks.
