Known as Jordi Savall's wife, soprano Montserrat Figueras has accompanied the rich hours of the Hespérion XX-XXI and Le Concert des Nations ensembles since their inception, and helped rediscover medieval music treasures. Her work is closely linked to that of her illustrious husband, with a few exceptions, notably Ton Koopman, and her voice remains inseparable from Chant de la Sybille (1997) and Ninna Nanna (2003). The compilation La Voix de l'Emotion (1996) and Lux Feminae (2006) are perfect introductions to her vocal style. Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et Lettres, Montserrat Figueras died in 2011 at the age of 69.
