Moon Fever

Moon Fever was formed in 2000 in Seattle, Washington, by guitarist Mitch Micoley, bassist Dave Orton, drummer Troy Wageman, and original vocalist Cody Jasper. The musicians' hedonistic, hard-hitting brand of alt-rock was inspired by the hell-raisers that came before them, including Alice in Chains, Queens of the Stone Age, and the Doors. With Jasper and Mickey initially handling the band's songwriting duties, Moon Fever made its national debut with an EP, Payphone Blues, in 2021. The singles "Cocaine" and "Cheap Thrills" helped introduce the band's throwback sound to a modern audience, as did a series of national tours with similarly-styled rock acts like Buckberry, Adelitas Way, 10 Years, and Hinder. Vocalist Cody Jasper left the group in 2022 and was replaced by frontman Triston Bracht, and the reshuffled band toured with Godsmack while continuing to write new music. In late 2023, as Moon Fever began wrapping up plans for a full-length debut album, the group released "Getting Loud," a modern rock single whose gritty, grungy sound helped showcase the band's ties to its Seattle hometown. "Getting Loud" also marked the band's first appearance on the Billboard charts, where the song debuted at number 37 on Top 40 Radio Mainstream Rock Songs that September.
