Born on October 22, 1972 in Salvador (Bahia), Moreno Veloso is one of the sons of Brazilian musician Caetano Veloso, and his godmother is singer Gal Costa. After studying physics in Rio de Janeiro, Moreno Veloso devoted himself entirely to music from 2000 onwards. He has been composing since 1982, and has always been immersed in an atmosphere conducive to his artistic development. Moreno Veloso began by collaborating on several Red Hot Organization compilations, sold in aid of the fight against the AIDS virus. In 2001, he released his first album, Maquina de Escrever, distributed internationally under the English title Music Typewriter. A musician of great finesse, capable of playing all facets of MPB (Brazilian popular music), Moreno Veloso released the album Coisa Boa in September 2014.
