Australian country artist Morgan Evans was born on April 25, 1985, in Newcastle, New South Wales. He took his first steps in music with the band Solver, which was named Artist of the Year and Best Rock Act at the 2006 MusicOZ Awards. In 2007, he won the Road to Tamworth competition and was flown to Nashville to record a single, eventually landing a record deal with Sony BMG and releasing his debut EP Big Skies later that year. Following the release of the 2012 back-to-back EPs Live Each Day and While We're Young, Morgan Evans issued his eponymous studio debut in 2014, a commercially successful album that reached the top of the Australian country charts and earned him several awards for his work. After moving to Nashville in 2017, he signed with Warner Music and released the single "Kiss Somebody," followed closely by the Morgan Evans EP and his chart-topping sophomore effort Things That We Drink To in 2018. A fifth extended play titled The Country and the Coast (Side A) appeared in October 2021 and "Over for You," his first single of 2022, went to Number 50 on the US Country Airplay chart.
