Morikubo Showtaro

Shōtarō Morikubo, born on February 25, 1974, in Hachioji, Tokyo, is a Japanese voice actor, actor, singer, and narrator. Growing up in a musical family in Fukushima, where his relatives played traditional Japanese instruments, Morikubo was initially taught to dance to music by his father, sparking his interest in performing. In high school, he faced a career crossroads between music and acting, leaning towards acting after observing the challenges faced by musicians. After dropping out of Tama Art University's film production course, Morikubo pursued acting full-time. His acting break came when a former theater group member facilitated his first voice acting gig for an anime demo tape, leading to a successful audition for the role of Mini Yon Fighter in "Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go!!," which became a long-term project. Morikubo's career expanded into various entertainment fields, including anime, games, and music. He formed music units and bands like An's All Stars and Mosquito Milk, embarking on solo music projects and performing annually at the "Original Entertainment Paradise 'OrePara'". In 2020, he was awarded the Personality Award at the 14th Seiyu Awards. His notable releases are "PHANTOM PAIN"(2015), Enhanced Brain (2018) and "WAY OUT"(2020).
