This London-based quartet, inspired by folk, country and rock, first came to prominence at Glastonbury in 2008. After three EPs, Mumford & Sons released the critically acclaimed album Sigh No More the following year, which went platinum at number two in the UK and US. The track "Little Lion Man" quickly became a karaoke classic. Their success grows with their second album, Babel (2012), one of the best-selling albums of the decade, reaching number one on both sides of the Atlantic, as does its successor Wilder Mind (2015). In 2013, Mumford & Sons headline the Glastonbury Festival, five years after their debut. The band, which enchants stages around the world, releases three live albums: Live at Shepherd's Bush Empire (2011), The Road to Red Rocks (2012) and Live from South Africa: Dust and Thunder (2017). In 2018 follows the fourth studio album, Delta, produced by Paul Epworth. Mumford & Sons have won numerous awards, including two Brit Awards, a Mercury Prize for the album Sigh No More and two Grammy Awards, including one for the album Babel. After Delta in 2018, in 2020 Mumford & Sons release a live EP entitled Delta Tour EP, to mark the premature end of their tour interrupted by the pandemic; the record features covers of "Hurt" (Nine Inch Nails), "Blood" (The Middle East) and "With a Little Help from My Friends" (The Beatles), with guests Gang of Youths and The Milk Carton Kids. In 2021, Winston Marshall officially left the band following a controversy, and Marcus Mumford went solo with the album Self-Titled in 2022. The band then returned with "Good People", a collaborative single with Pharrell Williams, before releasing Rushmere on March 28, 2025, their first album in seven years, co-produced by Dave Cobb.
