MYA, the Argentine pop duo formed by Máximo Espíndola and Agustín Bernasconi, came together in 2017 in Buenos Aires. The pair first crossed paths while filming the TV series Aliados, where their shared passion for music led them to post cover songs online, capturing the attention of fans and eventually landing a deal with Sony Music Argentina. Their debut single, "Amor prohibido," was released in 2017, setting the stage for their first album Hoy in 2019, featuring hits like "Te olvidaré" with Pedro Capó. The album solidified their place in the Latin pop scene and garnered a nomination for Best Pop Group Album at the Premios Gardel. MYA’s collaborations have become a hallmark of their sound, partnering with artists like Abraham Mateo, Leslie Grace, and Tini. Their second album, Suena MYA! (2021), included popular tracks such as "BB" with Emilia and the remix of "2:50" featuring Duki and Tini, earning double platinum status. In 2024, they embarked on a new chapter with their third album Blanco y negro, featuring singles like "El Proceso," "Si pudiera," and "Lunar."
