Born in Mangalore, India on February 24, 1985, Nakash Aziz is a singer/songwriter best known for his work as a playback singer. Nakash Aziz performs songs in several languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Gujarati. He began his musical journey at the age of 3 when her performed his first song on stage at school. Initially enrolled at a music institute to study classical singing, eventually began attended Patkar College in Mumbai. While there, he began participating in various singing competitions. These led to him being a contestant on the second season of Indian Idol in 2005. Although he was eliminated early, he was inspired to write jingles and devotionals. His singing career began in 2010 when he performed the Telegu song “Vandemataram” and was soon a playback singer performing songs in different languages including “Gandi Baat” (from 2013’s R… Rajkumar), “Dhating Nach” (from 2013’s Phata Poster Hikhla Hero), “Selfie Le Le Re” (from 2015’s Bajrangi Jhaijaan), “Fan Anthem” (from 2015’s Fan), “Cutiepie” (from 2016’s Ae Dil hai Mushkil), “Slow Motion” (from 2018’s Bharat), and more.
