The Canadian country singer Nate Haller was born in Waterloo, Ontario. After attending a performer by Australian musician Xavier Rudd as a 15 year old, Haller became inspired to begin writing songs of his own. He started playing guitar, too, and his skill on the instrument landed him a position in Kira Isabella's band while still in his teens. Haller remained in Isabella's lineup for seven years, then jumped ship to play guitar for another project, The Reklaws. Co-founded by Stuart Walker and Jenna Walker, The Reklaws enjoyed a remarkable run during Haller's time with the group, topping the Canada Country chart with 2018's "Feels Like That" and 2020's "Can't Help Myself." After the COVID-19 pandemic brought The Reklaws' touring schedule to a standstill, he used the downtime to launch his sol ocareer, signing with Starseed Entertainment in early 2021 and releasing the debut single "Lightning in a Bottle" that March. The song became a Top 10 hit, reaching Number 9 on Billboard's Canada Country chart and paving the way for his debut album, Party in the Back, later that year. He teamed up with The Reklaws and fellow Canadian country vocalist Brett Kissel the following year for his second Top 40 country hit, "Somewhere to Drink," which reached Number 25 in Canada. A third single from Party in the Back, "Ain't Like Me," climbed to Number 15 in 2022, the same year that he won "Rising Star" at the Country Music Association of Ontario.
