Neea River

Neea River, born Neea Jokinen, is a Finnish dance-pop singer-songwriter hailing from Nurmijärvi. Her passion for music ignited during her teenage years, leading her to share cover songs on Instagram in 2015. A pivotal moment in her career occurred during a holiday in Los Angeles, where a local producer discovered her online performances and invited her to collaborate in the studio. This opportunity prompted her to relocate to Los Angeles, where she co-wrote "Crash," a song featured in the film The Perfect Girlfriend. After returning to Finland, she secured a publishing deal with Warner Music Finland, contributing as a songwriter for various artists. In 2023, she transitioned to an independent artist, launching her own record label and releasing her debut single, "All The Way." Since then, she has released a total of ten singles, gaining international recognition. Her work earned her a nomination for Best Pop at the Finnish Indie Awards in 2025. In January 2025, she was announced as one of the seven contestants in Finland's Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) with her single "Nightmares," on which she explores the idea of overcoming trauma.
