The Finnish pop singer Erika Vikman was born in Tampere in 1993 and began her career in the entertainment industry as a teenager when she landed the role of Iira Ström in the teen TV series 'Best of the Time' which aired on the Finnish TV channel Yle TV2 in 2009. Following this initial TV success she later appeared in the musical 'Out of Sight'. She was also a contestant on the seventh Finnish 'Idols' series in 2013, and in 2015 came second on the TV reality show 'Tangomarkkinoille'. Shortly afterwards Vikman released her first single titled 'Etkö uskalla mua rakastaa' but it failed to make a significant impression on the charts and her three follow-up singles were also unsuccessful. It wasn't until 2020 with the release of 'Cicciolina' that Vikman finally made her breakthrough in the Finnish charts when it reached number six.
