The duo Nina Sky is comprised of Puerto Rican identical twins Nicole and Natalie Albino. The two sisters moved to the USA in the late 1980s and after their parents were divorced they were brought up in Astoria in the Queens district of New York. From an early age the two girls decided they wanted to be singers and began composing songs before they were ten-years-old. Their stepfather was a DJ and this exposed the girls from an early age to a wide range of musical influences and in particular hip-hop which became a major part of New York's musical culture. They were taken under the wing of Luis Diaz, a Peurto Rican hip-hop DJ better known by his stage name Cipha Sounds. He helped Nicole and Natalie write 'Move Ya Body', a song which mixed Caribbean, R&B and pop rhythms and, after producing a demo of the track, it was released as a single in 2004 and went to number four on the Billboard Hot 100 reaching the top five in many countries around the world. Nina Sky have expanded their appeal by collaborating with a wide variety of artists which include names such as Pitbull, Notch, Ritchie Riviera and Tony Touch.
