Olivia Belli

Olivia Belli is an Italian pianist and composer born in Mantua, Lombardy. She grew up in Trieste from the age of eight, and took her first piano lessons at the local conservatory. An assiduous student, she aims to become a concert performer and explores a wide repertoire of works among composers ranging from J. S. Bach to Philip Glass. In 2016, she released her first album, My Piano Dolce Vita, featuring themes from Italian cinema, before covering Ludovico Einaudi's Stanze album in its entirety. The same year, 2017, saw the release of two further tributes, to Max Richter and Philip Glass. In 2018, Olivia Belli unveils her personal compositions in the Other Lines EP, followed by the Where Night Never Comes album (2019), featuring pieces played on piano and versions remixed on synthesizer. Invited by Glass's label, Orange Mountain Music, she records Metamorphosis I-V (2019), then signs with Decca to record the personal album River Path (2020), which proves a success on listening platforms. After collaborating with her husband Enrico Belli on the albums Mater and Moonlight Recomposed, the pianist records Sol Novo for the new label XXIM Records in 2021. She arranges compositions by Chopin, Mozart and Bach, while her organ composition Limina Luminis is performed by Anna Lapwood at the BBC Proms. 2024 saw the release of her fifth personal album, Intermundia, which reached No.19 in the UK classical music charts.
