Olivia Rodrigo became a chart-topping pop singer at the age of 17, when her single "Driver's License" debuted at umber 1 in America, the UK, Ireland, Australia, and multiple other countries. Born in Temecula, California, on February 20, 2003, she launched her professional career as an actress, appearing in commercials and direct-to-video films before landing a star-making role on the Disney Channel's Bizaardvark in 2016. The show highlighted her musical talents, with Rodrigo performing Bizaardvark's theme song and remaining with the series for three seasons. While acting in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series in 2019, she also wrote and performed several songs on the show's soundtrack, including the gold-certified "All I Want." She then signed with Geffen Records as a solo artist and released her major-label debut single, "Driver's License," in January 2021. The song was an instant hit, topping the charts around the globe and going multi-platinum in the US. Another Top 10 single, "Deja Vu," was released three months later, followed by Olivia Rodrigo's second Number 1 hit, "Good 4 U." All three singles also appeared on her debut album, Sour, which was released in May 2021 to worldwide success. Featuring a mix of mainstream pop and alt-pop, Sour peaked at Number 1 in eight countries, including the UK, and featured five multi-platinum tracks. Two years after its release, Rodrigo returned to the Number 1 position in America with "Vampire," the first release from her second record, Guts, which also shot straight to the top of the album charts in September 2023.
